Nai’a Liveaboard

Dive - Cruises & Charters

Eat – dive – eat – dive – eat – dive – repeat. Plus a nap or two! A week or ten days aboard the luxury liveaboard dive boat NAI’A is the simplest and most fulfilling holiday a diver could hope for. Each morning you wake to a new divesite that is as easily accessed as falling off a log. You can dive as long as you’d like and get whisked back to the boat as soon as you are done, usually just in time for another meal.

+ Location + Access

Your cruise aboard NAI’A begins at the Lautoka Wharf at 2:00 pm on Saturday. Transfers from Nadi-area hotels and the airport are provided at about 1:00pm.

Once onboard you will receive an orientation while your luggage is taken to your stateroom. Divers will set up their gear right away in preparation for a checkout dive the first afternoon. After setting up your dive gear, light snacks will be served as the Nai’a makes its way to the dive site.

+ The Fleet

Designed and built in Holland by the world’s finest steel ship craftsmen, NAI’A is 120ft long and 30ft wide with nine passenger staterooms and room for 14 crew. A solid expeditionary ship, she has the range and stability to sail the far reaches of the Pacific and has travelled from her base in Fiji to Vanuatu and New Caledonia, Tonga, Samoa, Tuvalu, Funafuti and the Phoenix Islands in Kiribati.

NAI'A has accommodation for 18 passengers in 9 air-conditioned staterooms with private ensuite heads. All the staterooms were entirely rebuilt in 2010 and are larger than those on most dive vessels with plenty of stowage for gear. They are bright, airy, and comfortable and have both 110v and 220v power.

FIJI 7-DAY & FIJI 10-DAY

The normal itinerary for both seven and ten-day charters starts and ends in Lautoka, just north of Nadi, After an initial "checkout" dive on the afternoon of boarding, NAI'A heads north and east around the flank of the main island of Viti Levu to reach Bligh Water.

Several different dive sites in Bligh Water are available including Vatu-i-ra, E6, Mt. Mutiny, and Cat's Meow, depending on localized weather conditions. From there the Nai’a crew chooses the sites according to weather, tides, and passengers' inclinations. But generally, the Nai’a visits the islands and barrier reefs of Namena, Wakaya, and Gau.

On ten-day charters, there is more time available to dive the various reefs in the Koro Sea, some of them near Namena and others near nowhere!
